MAR 1 UTAH ENERGY WORKFORCE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Open to 11th or 12 grade students enrolled at any public or private high school in the State of Utah. Must submit a 5 minute documentary film exploring some aspect of Utah's energy industry. Students must intend to pursue a STEM course of study. Four scholarships awarded in the amount of $5,000.

Senior scholarship to attend USU. Scholarship varies from $500 to full tuition. MAR 1 CALVIN FLETCHER SCHOLARSHIP
Award amount of $2000 - $2500  Must be an incoming freshman in the art and design pre-program with an interest in drawing and painting. Application must include, thecompleted application form (with signature), a digital portfolio of 8-10 pieces of artwork completed within the last year, and a paragraph describing the applicant's financial need. Seniors planning on attending the U of U are eligible for two-semesters full tuition. Must enroll as a pre-art major. Minimum GPA of 3.5, must have been accepted to the University, department application and a portfolio. Full year tuition (renewable) for incoming freshmen.  Must submit portfolio to Art Dept. for consideration.

High school seniors planning on attending USU must be in good academic standing. MAR 1  EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITY SCHOLARSHIP

The Educational Opportunity Scholarship is available to incoming freshman awarding $500 to full tuition. Students must complete the online application for admissions to USU. Applicants agree to use the scholarship in consecutive semesters, unless a deferment or leave of absence is approved. Students awarded the scholarship can only use the scholarship on the USU Logan Main campus. Complete personal essays as part of the application. MAR 3 GOVERNOR'S  HONORS ACADEMY - JUNIORS
GHA is organized to provide Utah High School students with an opportunity to learn, lead and interact with some of the foremost leaders in business, technology, humanities, science, education, communication and social science. Students apply in the spring of their Junior year and attend GHA the summer prior to being Seniors. MAR 5  JACK KENT COOKE YOUNG ARTIST AWARD
From the Top and the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation have awarded more than $2 million in scholarships to exceptional young musicians with financial need. They provide young artists with an opportunity to perform on From the Top's national broadcasts and are awarded up to $10,000 to help offset the expensive costs of studying Classical music. Each year approximately 20 pre-collegiate musicians ages 8-18 receive the Award. Classical instrumentalists, vocalists and composers are invited to apply. MAR 15 NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL ESSAY CONTEST

Contest is open to students grades 9-12. $2,500 to first place essay winner on topic of international issues and foreign relations, all-expense paid trip to Washington DC and a full-tuition paid voyage with Semester at Sea.  $1,250 cash prize for runner up.
