Hello SVHS!
My name is Elizabeth Singleton, and I am so excited to be here as the College Access Advisor for this school year! For those of you who I have not met yet, here is a quick introduction about me. I am from North Ogden, Utah. I started my education at Weber State University, then transferred to Utah State University. I recently graduated from Utah State University with my Bachelors Degree in Psychology with minors in Family and Human Studies and Mental Health Advocacy. I love Psychology and hope to be a School Counselor after I graduate with my Masters Degree. I am excited to work with you this school year as the UCAC advisor!
For those of you unfamiliar with Utah College Advising Corps, UCAC is a college access program founded on the idea that all high school students deserve equitable opportunities to enroll in institutions of higher education. Our goal is to increase the number of Utah students who enroll in postsecondary education. There is a College Access Advisor in over 40 high schools across the state. My goal at Sky View High School is to assist seniors through the following milestones:
1. College admission applications
2. Financial-Aid submissions of a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
3. Finding student housing
4. Discovering other ways to fund education (jobs with tuition reimbursements, scholarships, etc.)
Please don't hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions about college! Students and parents can use this link to set up a meeting with me:
